2 Ways to Connect a PS4 Controller to Xbox One

1. WIRED: The Use of an Adapter

This method is guaranteed to be one of the many reliable ways to use a ps4 controller on xbox one. Yes, with the help of a CronusMAX PLUS adapter you can easily link any PS4 controller to the Xbox One console. So buckle up!

STEP 1: Have your CronusMAX PLUS adapter plugged into an internet-connected PC. Once plugged in, the drivers will be installed automatically.

STEP 2: After installing CronusMAX PLUS on your PC, on the Cronus PRO app, find ‘Tools’; under the Tools, click Options, then click Device.

STEP 3: Your Xbox One will be shown as XB1 in the dropdown list at the upper part of the menu; set up the output protocol.

STEP 4: Check the searching box and ensure that the option for Enable Dualshock4/Wiimote Bluetooth is checked.

STEP 5: Unplug the CronusMAX PLUS from your PC, and then connect it to one of the USB ports in your Xbox One console. Once done, the AU on the LED display of the CronusMAX PLUS will begin to show for its Authentication.

STEP 6: In this step, make sure to remove the batteries of your Xbox One controller. Failing to do so can lead to overriding the signal from your PS4 controller since there’s still a signal linked from an Xbox One controller to the console.

STEP 7: Disable your Xbox one controller and wait for the standby animation once a number shows on the CronusMAX PLUS.

STEP 8: Plug your Xbox One controller into the CronusMAX plug using the USB cable; a “0” display will appear on the adapter instead of AU.

STEP 9: Have your Bluetooth 4.0 UBS adapter connected to the CronusMAX PLUS.

STEP 10: In your PS4 controller, long-press the Share and PS button.

STEP 11: Once the controller flash is white, it means that it is searching for a connection. The light bar mush then changes to a solid color.

STEP 12: Lastly, once the number on the CronusMAX PLUS has returned to “0,” your PS4 is linked, and you are ready to roll!

2. WIRELESS

So in this method, all you’re going to need is your PS4 controller, a pin, and an internet-connected PC.

STEP 1: Get your PS4 controller, long-press both Home, and then put the pin in the reset button for 5 seconds.

STEP 2: After resetting your PS4 controller, long-press both the Home and Share button until you see the light bar flashing twice.

STEP 3: Get your PC, look for Bluetooth, click on add device. As the wireless controller shows up, click that. Once connected, the light bar will flashlight again.

STEP 4: Next, go to your search engine and go to https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm. Go ahead and click the WinRAR x64 (64 bit) 6.10 beta 3 to download. Once done, open the downloaded program and install it. After the installation is done, delete the file, (not uninstall, but delete).

STEP 5: You want to go to your search engine again and visit http://ds4windows.com/ and download the program. Once done, extend open click Extract to “DS4Windows (20)/”. Delete the downloaded program, (not the extracted file, but the downloaded program).

STEP 6:  As you Open the file, You’ll see that there are two files. Now Open the second file. A prompt will appear. Then Just click Appdata.

STEP 7: Another prompt will show up. This time you’ll see that your controller is connected to Bluetooth, and the color of your light bar is there.

STEP 8:  To make sure that your PS4 controller is connected correctly, click the color shown in the prompt once the light bar color changes as you do in the prompt. Minimize the file, (do not close) and Your controller is good to go.

STEP 9: Now, go to the Microsoft store, look for the app “Xbox Console Companion,” and install the app.

STEP 10: Open the downloaded app “Xbox Console Companion,” and just set up your same existing Xbox account. Wait for a couple of seconds, and then sign in. Wait again for a second or two, then click LET’S PLAY.

STEP 11: Go to your TV, use your Xbox controller to select your account, the one you signed in to your computer.

STEP 12: Go back to your PC. On the left side of the app, click the connection icon. It will automatically connect you to Xbox.
